The Centre’s historic links with Yale University have been renewed through the recently established Anna Freud Centre/Yale Child Study Center Bridge Programme. Research teams from the Menninger Department of Psychiatry, the Anna Freud Centre and Yale Child Study Center form a developmental and clinical psychoanalytically-inspired research consortium. In June 2003 a study conducted jointly by the Anna Freud Centre, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Coram Family Adoption Services on the way in which abused children can have their faith in adults restored through adoption was published. The Hampstead Child Therapy Course was started by Anna Freud in 1947. Students included Joyce McDougall, who had her first experience of intensive analysis with children whilst on the course. The course combines theoretical consideration of psychoanalytic perspectives on developmental issues and inter-family relationships with year-long observations of infants and children. We provide individual therapy services to children and adolescents (age 3 to 18), testing/assessment services to children/adolescents (as young as 1.5 year to 18 years old), and parent training/coaching services. A corresponding reduction in the individual psychotherapy caseload is arranged for any student leading a group. The psychiatrist meets with the student therapist and the client, so the evaluation is done collaboratively, meeting the client’s needs and the educational goals of the clinic. Fees received are put toward costs associated with running the clinic. All services provided are closely supervised by a team of highly-experienced registered psychologists, سایت all of whom hold both endorsement in clinical psychology and registration as clinical supervisors with the Psychology Board of Australia in APHRA. The ASU Psychology Clinic is a community-based training clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive psychological services to High Country residents and Appalachian State University students at an affordable cost. The Clinic serves as an education and training site (in research, teaching/supervision, and outreach) for graduate students in the School and Counseling Psychology programs Department of Educational Psychology.
